This demonstration is an outgrowth of Code Pink's summer vigil to Bring Troops Home Fast. Come stand with Joe Colgan and members of Military Families Speak Out. Join us in visits to the Senators' offices to demand that the troops be brought home and funding for an unjust war be cut off. (Joe is the father of Lt. Ben Colgan, KIA in Baghdad, Iraq, November 1, 2003.) info

WEDNESDAYS; 5:30-6:30 p.m. PEACE VIGIL IN BALLARD, started by two women who felt compelled to express their dissent about the Iraq war. The focus is on ending the war, the occupation, prison abuse, and the theft of our country's wealth for military purposes. It is a place for people to express their dissent over what has happened, to demand that those responsible be held to account, and to discuss alternatives to war. BallardPeaceActivists (BPA) has been vigiling now at this location since fall 2002. Join us to stand for peace, call for bringing our troops home now, exercise your free speech rights, and show solidarity with your neighbors. Protest the new escalation of the war on Iraq. Come for the whole time or a bit of time. Bring signs - but there are usually extras for all. FRIDAYS - noon; EVERETT PEACE ACTION, SE corner of Colby and Hewitt Avenues, downtown Everett. This group has vigiled every Friday since Oct 1, 2002. Rain or shine activists gather in front of the Bank of America to protest the Iraq War. We have done this since the beginning of the war and have attracted the bad element of pro-war, pro-Bush fanatics who gather on the opposite side of the intersection in front of the Frontier Bank. You can voice your opposition to this immoral war for an hour every Friday. Come join us!

 

 

FRIDAYS 5:30 p.m. - KITSAP FOR PEACE VIGIL in Bremerton. Washington Ave. in front of The Fraiche Cup Cafe, opposite the ferry terminal, to greet foot and car traffic from ferries arriving at 5:20 and 6:30 (coffee break in between). No contact info, just show up. Signs okay.

 

 

SUNDAYS 2 - 3 p.m., GREENLAKE PEACE VIGIL at East Greenlake Way N near N 63rd St near the crosswalk. No more troops to Iraq! Bring the Troops Home! Please come out to show opposition to the war, in addition to standing to demand an investigation of the intelligence invoked to justify the Iraq War; Demonstrate Your Commitment to Peace, with new signs "America Wants the Truth!" or bring your own. Please join us in our nonviolent witness; all peaceful people invited, bring signs, leaflets, and your friends and dogs.
